If I were you just starting out, I wouldn't bother with a boost controller right away. It adds flexibility but also adds complexity to your overall setup.
Get the standard Stage 3 ECU upgrade w/ boost jets and a reliable aftermarket boost gauge. That way you can more accurately determine what your before & after boost is. (**Boost is something you're ALWAYS going to want to keep an eye on, from here on in**) Then you can swap your boost jets for larger or smaller orifices as required to get the approximate boost you're shooting for. (most are good to go with the first set they get from JWT).
